Traditionally been used by military helicopter to evacuate wounded soldiers or the carrying of weapons and accessories from one place to another. But during the Vietnam War, helicopters have been reinvented as an offensive weapon.

Although the use of military helicopters began during World War II, was still in the early stages of development.
